By the time you leave for Sweden,
here’s what we’ll have achieved:

  1. The Land Lijn Collection is well-designed and representative of the larger brand.

  2. Prototypes are created and depending on how long stuff takes to make (you know more than me), we’ve been able to cast and produce some final products that you can stockpile to be ready for a Holiday Show Launch.

  3. The Land Lijn Collection is photographed and ready for you to put on the website.

  4. You have your market setup ready & it’s photographed for Holiday Show Applications.

  5. Bonus– we will have a lot of fun!

Thinking through the numbers

Doing this on your own, I estimate this taking you a year, not because it’ll take all those hours but in my experience there’s just always something that will take priority in a business like yours. Together we can just knock it out in 30 days. I know that sounds crazy, but it’s a fairly straightforward process once we have the foundational aspects decided. I’m an expert at what I do and you are an expert at what you do, so when you combine those, we’re pretty efficient!!

Your first collection will be designed to sell out in a very specific way, and that has to do with how we create and market the collection. I will help you set up this type of system so that you can have more certainty with launches and less time designing and making things that don’t sell.

My goal for your first launch, which wouldn’t happen until closer to Holiday or some kind of Open House event in the Fall would be designed to sell a minimum of 50% of your collection. I would give you a specific plan for how this works, and it’s easier than you’d think.

I’d be planning to establish you as an Artist Brand (versus a Production Brand that will be selling consistenly).

  • An Artist Brand launches collections less often but they’re higher priced and are different than anything out there that a customer could get. You sell seasonally.

  • A Production Brand creates a larger collection that is meant to go together and sells consistently, all year.

The goal for me would be that this collection doesn’t require a huge amount from you all the time, but in planned moments that feel doable while managing other parts of your business. Within 3 years, if you continue to follow this format, I imagine this part of your brand can bring in $50k per year.

Biz Planning Conversations

  • sketch out the 3-year simple plan for the Land Lijn portion of the brand

  • look ahead at some events that make sense for you to attend as a vendor

  • think about some potential boutiques that might make sense to carry your products

Product Design Conversations

  • dig deeper into Land Lijn and develop the look & feel of the foundational collection

  • Think through a first collection from design to pricing

  • Pick colors and set a theme that can carry us through production

  • Product names

  • Shipping versus local pickup

  • Shipping- packaging, pricing, company, etc.

40 HOURS

Production & Design

  • I’ll be in the studio helping mix and pour and create and finish products

  • We’ll look at the prototypes and figure out if we need to adjust anything and make sure the collection is perfect

  • I’ll take photos of process and final products for social and the website

  • I will design a space inside the shop for product photos that you can use again and again

  • I’ll design your booth setup for markets and we will set up your products and photograph so that you can apply with confidence
