What I Heard in Your Intake Meeting
From the very beginning, this project was about building a system that could take a complex set of moving parts and make them feel clear, organized, and manageable — for you, for flower farmers, and for florists.
You used the word workhorse, which became a guiding idea throughout the project.
The website needed to function as a reliable operational hub — supporting applications, communication, product listings, scheduling rhythms, and key details — so that you and Morgen could depend on it as a partner, rather than something requiring constant daily attention.
The intention was not to create something fragile or overly complicated, but something steady. A structure that holds information, manages flow, and reduces the amount of manual coordination required to keep things moving.
At the same time, this system needed to be built within the realities of a startup budget.
Resources were intentionally distributed across multiple areas of importance:
• planning and strategic structure
• brand direction and design
• photography
• social media foundations
• coaching and decision support
• technical education
• operational setup
• flexibility for unexpected needs that arise during the build process
This meant choosing tools that are accessible, cost-effective, and practical for real-world use — platforms that can be confidently used by people who do not necessarily have deep technical training.
Alongside the operational strength of the system, it was equally important that the site feel crafted with care.
The design direction needed to communicate quality, thoughtfulness, and intention — visually reflecting the level of care that you take in your own work, home and life.
You described a look and feel that is elevated but creative:
quiet
bougie but grounded
natural but distinct
influenced by Nantucket tones, vermilion accents, and the visual language of flower farms
Because while the system itself is a workhorse, the experience of using it should still feel beautiful, calm, and aligned with the values behind the work.
Ultimately, the goal became:
to create a dependable operational partner that manages the details and supports coordination — allowing more time and energy to be spent in the farms, in the gardens, and in the relationships that make the work meaningful.
A workhorse system — supported by thoughtful design — that makes participation easier for everyone involved.
What This Website Needed to Do
This site is designed to be:
A hub that makes it easy to do business together.
Not complicated, overwhelming or overly technical for the users (including you and Morgen).
Just:
• a clear place to list what’s available
• a simple way for buyers to purchase
• an organized system for managing orders
• a structure that keeps everything moving without constant oversight so that you can relax knowing it’s supporting you
It’s a solution that understands:
good design matters
clear communication matters
and ease matters

Website Delivery
Your Original Vision
We built a website that functions as a central hub for your flower market and guild.
It brings together your membership, weekly sales, and internal resources into one simple, organized system.
What We Built
Design
• A customized squarespace website
• Professional photography (two shoots)
• A color palette aligned with your brand
• Typography that fits the GLFG aesthetic
• A design that balances quiet, bougie + stand out
• Thoughtful site architecture
• A visual tone that feels welcoming and hospitality-driven
• Canva Setup
Core Pages
• Homepage
A clear introduction to who you are, what you’re building, and how the system works.
• Membership Page + Application
Explains the Guild and allows farmers to apply.
• Flower Market Store
A weekly marketplace where products are uploaded, sold, and organized in a consistent rhythm.
• Member-Only Pages
Private access for Guild members
Weekly Market System
The site is structured to support your weekly flow:
• Farmers upload available products by Saturday
• Orders open Monday (8am–5pm)
• Orders are processed Tuesday
• Farmers prepare orders
• Pickup happens Thursday (12–2pm)
This creates a predictable, repeatable rhythm that keeps everything organized.
Functionality
Product + Sales System
• Farmers can upload available flowers weekly
• Buyers can browse and purchase within a set timeframe
• Orders are collected and organized for fulfillment
Membership System
• Farmers can apply to join the Guild
• Clear onboarding pathway for new members
• Internal structure to support participation
What This System Supports
This setup allows you to:
• Run a weekly flower market without constant coordination
• Keep everything organized in one place
• Make it easy for farmers and buyers to participate
• Spend less time managing logistics and more time in your actual work
Bonus Creative Elements
One bonus piece is still in progress:
• A simple logo, not a full Brand Development Project
This is a creative extra rather than operational necessity, so it will be completed after final site approval.
Ongoing Website Support
Now that your site is live, you may occasionally want help with strategic decisions, design updates, technical questions, or small improvements.
Strategy
The thinking behind your design and tech decisions—making sure what you add or change doesn’t break the guest experience or your backend systems.Design Updates
A very common scenario: adding a new page or section and unintentionally throwing off the design structure. I help you keep everything cohesive and elevated.Technical Questions
If something isn’t working or displaying correctly, I can usually diagnose it quickly—often in a 30-minute call—and either fix it or show you exactly how.Small Improvements
Refreshing colors, adding new photos, updating sections, or making small tweaks that keep the site feeling current and aligned with your brand.
Some clients love handling things themselves, and others prefer having a trusted partner they can call when something comes up.
Both approaches are completely normal.
Sometimes support looks like:
• Making design updates or adding new pages
• Creating graphics or social media assets
• Teaching you how to use a tool or feature
• Fixing something that broke or was accidentally deleted
• Helping when you're on a tight deadline and need a second set of hands
• General website maintenance
In other words — anything that helps keep your website running smoothly.
Two Ways to Work Together
Support Package
$50/hour (10-hour package) to be used within 1 year of purchase.
A prepaid block of 10 hours that you can use anytime you need support.
These hours can be used for:
• Design projects
• Website updates
• Social media creation
• Learning a new tool or feature
• Fixing something quickly
• General technical or creative support
Many clients choose this option when they value collaboration and having an expert available when needed.
A La Carte Support
$75/hour
If you only need help occasionally, you can book support to be billed hourly. I’ll offer you an estimate before you pay based on information you send my way.
This is perfect for situations like:
• You accidentally deleted something
• You’re launching something and need quick help
• You’re on a tight deadline and want extra support
The Goal
The goal of this offer is simple:
To make sure you always have calm, capable support available when you need it.
Your website should feel like a powerful tool for your business — not a source of stress.
